Two local organisations, Longford Women’s Link and The Attic Youth Club came together to host their first joint Fundraising Golf Classic at Longford Golf Club on Saturday, 26 May last.
The weather on the day, was amazing and really added to the experience for everyone concerned. Our winners on the day were the Peter Dale Team consisting of Peter Dale, Liam Tierney, David Dolan and Pat Casserly. Peter’s team won green fees and lunch at the K Club Golf Club in County Kildare. Congratulations to Peter’s team and indeed to all our prize winners on the day. A huge thank you to all our teams that supported the event, to all our tee box sponsors, prize sponsors and goody bag suppliers. We were delighted with their support and was greatly appreciated.
A special thank you to the Golf Committee of Ruth McGarry, Kevin Sheridan, David O’Brien, Richie Cheevers, Carmel Leahy and Laura Sweeney. Thank you to Tara Farrell for all her help and assistance in the run up to the event and on the day. Thank you Kajal for getting all the prize cards, tee box signs and tickets printed and folded. Also a number of people needs to be thank for their help and support during the day: Lorne Patterson, Pamela Latimer, Karl Muldowney, Caoilainn Bushell and Darragh McLoughlin as well as a number of students from The Attic Youth Club who helped out during the entire day taking photographs, packing bags, putting up and taking down signs and all other duties which were performed with an enthusiastic smile!
