The National Drugs Strategy 2009-2016 has identified a number of groups as being ‘at risk’, namely, the homeless, Travellers, sex workers and early school leavers. Specific strategies and actions have been developed in relation to these groups. Longford Women’s Link has submitted a case to the Minister of State with responsibility for the National Drugs Strategy that women experiencing domestic violence also be included as a ‘high risk’ group.
