We Really Need Your Help - We are actively seeking volunteers for a number of Fundraising events being held in Longford for Longford Women’s Link prior to the Christmas season.

Flag Day: Friday, 26 November in Longford Town and Longford Shopping Centre. 

 

Bag Packing:  Saturday, 4 December in Tescos Longford

Bag Packing:  Friday and Saturday, 10 and 11 December: Dunnes Stores, Longford

Just for Her Craft Fair and Raffle:  Saturday, 4 December in Ballroom of Annaly Hotel, Longford.  In conjunction with Midlands Simon and Longford Women’s Link this craft fair will provide a perfect opportunity to browse the many table displays that will give you plenty of ideas for Christmas presents.

Santa in Longford Shopping Centre:  Longford Women’s Link have been offered the opportunity of hosting the Santa Hut in Longford Shopping Centre as a Fundraising Event.  Visitors can come along and see Santa, take away a present and have their picture taken with Santa.   A visit to Santa will be €5 and a picture €3.  This is an exciting, but challenging, opportunity for Longford Women’s Link.   We are looking for a Santa Volunteer and a Santa Helper Volunteer for the duration of the event.   We appreciate it that this is a huge commitment for one individual but we would be interested in hearing from anyone who could fill some of the times allocated to us.   The event runs for the month of December, ending on Thursday 23 December.  The event takes in every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 6pm each of these days and on Christmas week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12 Noon to 6pm.

We greatly appreciate the time and effort our volunteers provide to us, no matter how short, this time allows us generate much needed local services for the local community.  We hope to make the events as much fun and rewarding as we possibly can.
